About BC TROG 47
Welcome to the Bloomfield Cruisers' page dedicated to our upcoming competition in The Race of Gentlemen aka TROG. Ever since Carlos and Mike saw vintage hot rods drag racing on the beaches of Wildwood at their first TROG event in 2018, they knew they would someday have to fulfill that urge to participate. Long story short, we are pleased to share we have been accepted into this year's TROG which will take place in October 4/5/6, 2024. We will be driving a 1931 Ford Model A which is a period-appropriate hot rod from the bygone days of GIs returning from WWII looking for an adrenaline rush on the track.
About the car
- Model B engine with custom header, WAC intake, Lion speed cast iron cylinder head, Stromberg 97 carb and Model A transmission
- 4” drop axle with '41 round back spindles, SoCal front and rear helmet style shocks, '39 Ford hydraulic brakes front and rear, Boiling Brothers battery box with master cylinder
- Chopped windshield with '37 ford taillights
- '36-'39 wide 5 wheels by Firestone deluxe champion, 7.50 rear, 6.00 front
